Flyer

Latest experiment with chrome metallic material, using coloured pencil. Unfortunately, I only realised 1/3rd of the way through colouring that the pencils were Derwent Watercolour Pencils and proved quite tough after a while.

The design of the craft is quite illogical, the turbines at the back are facing the side, yet it is implied the vehicle is shooting forward, i'd like to think the forward motion is provided via jet engines below deck, and the turbines to the rear assist with the rotation of the craft.

NWA Car

This will be the first time i've seen this render in it's totality.
As i've had to render a few seconds one night, then a few seconds more the next ...
And i've used Windows Live Movie Maker to stitch it together.

Someone may have already watched this while i've been typing.

Early concepts for the Car

NotPegLeg This started as basic shaded image, I created the black shapes using the lasso tool, and then did the same with the colours (skin, shirt, trousers).

This one here I made for Jamie, it's an illustration of a scene/environment for a character in his writing,
The Three Deaths.

This is a photo-collage illustration on the same theme as above,
All original photography, which either my girlfriend or me took.

The Three Deaths from Scotland

Sketches numbero Uno

Here's some sketches i've done recently

Skru-Top ... as you can see from the quick drawing on the left, the intention is that SkruTops camera element screws it's way around the 'spine'.. giving it variations in height and a 360° viewing angle (even though it's quite an inane functionality .. i think it'd look cool)

Untitled-1 ... i really like the chrome material detail on this one, as with SkruTop the letraset marker i used helped with a 3rd tone, the quality of scan has also slightly positerized the original which isn't a terrible thing.

This is Chops (Originally), he hasn't moved from this position in 866 years... the character is a native having just discovered Chops he uses it as shade from the Binary Suns.

Zombina, the peculiar head shape defined this character as a zombie.. not overly keen on this drawing, but thought i'd put it in because it was also an exercise in shading the human(ish) shape.

This is The Beefcake, Beefcake deserved to be in Carmageddon.
First attempt at concentrating on shade on a car form!
